Are you in your own way?

Welcome to Love Mondays, a weekly newsletter designed as a 3-minute hit to fire up the other 10,077 minutes of your week.

Are you in your own way?

Raise your hand if you've ever been your own worst enemy when it comes to achieving your goals✋ We've all been there, right? We let pesky self-doubt, fear, and other roadblocks stop us from reaching for the stars. But it's time to say goodbye to those limiting beliefs and hello to the power of a growth mindset.

I wanted to share my thoughts via video today as this topic is so near and dear to my heart!

What are the barriers holding you back from taking that big idea and running with it? Write them down.

Consider: your thoughts. Are they self-defeating or limiting in any way?

Practice: embracing failure as an opportunity to learn.

Decide to: cultivate a growth mindset by focusing on learning, growth, and progress rather than solely on outcomes.

The power of 'yet'

Recognising and removing self-imposed barriers such as self-doubt, fear of failure, and criticism is vital to achieving our goals and reaching our full potential. But how do we conquer these challenges?

We can start by adopting a growth mindset. Research by Stanford University psychologist
Carol S. Dweck, Ph.D. and author of Mindset: The New Psychology of Success, shows that our self-concept has a significant impact on our lives. By embracing a growth mindset, we can view failures as opportunities for growth and development, shifting our internal dialogue to one of compassion and openness.

So are you ready to level up your mindset game? Try adding a sprinkle of "yet" to your self-talk! Instead of throwing in the towel with an "I can't do this," add a playful "yet" to the end and see how it transforms your outlook. This growth-oriented approach sees failures as chances to learn and develop, moving you away from a fixed mindset of self-doubt and towards a more open mindset that embraces challenges and possibilities.

What steps can you take this week to foster a growth mindset within yourself and your team this week?

Love your Mondays.
